Game.Play.Critique is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information of our readership. This Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information received about individuals (hereafter referred to as “readers”) visiting designoriented.net. This Privacy Policy is applicable to readers resident in the United States.

We are a Squarespace site, and as such cannot prevent Squarespace from using information as their privacy policy allows. Please read the following with this in mind–this document only details how we will use your information, not how Squarespace may.

 

1. Tinypass, the company we use to manage reader subscriptions, provides us with the user names and email addresses of our subscribers. We do not sell this personally identifiable information to third parties or use it to market products. We may occasionally send subscribers e-mails regarding their subscriptions, to update them on new developments, or to thank them for their support. Unless subscribers opt out, they will automatically be enrolled in any subscriber-only newsletter(s). We never make public the personally identifiable information of individual users but we may publicly release non-personally identifiable, aggregate statistics.

 

2. We use cookies, but only for keeping you logged in. We do not track you in any way once you leave the site.

 

3. We gather non-personally-identifiable details about you that your browser provides us when you visit the site. We do not share this information beyond how Squarespace may use it.

 

4. When you email us about this site’s content, we may use the content of your email in whole or in part for further content on the site, attributed appropriately to you. Please let us know if there’s information that we should not share or can share but should not attribute to you. We will honor your wishes. Emails about technical issues, payment issues, business opportunities, or other issues unrelated to the ongoing discourse of the site will not be disclosed beyond parameters you explicitly agree upon with us, if disclosure is necessary or desired at all.

 

5. We do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of 13.
